Resolutions Do we need them?

Grab your Life ReVamp journal and write down, with as much honesty as you can muster the routines you follow in an average week. Use a timetable format if it makes sense to you to do it that way by diving each day of the week up into blocks of time.
What do you do on a Sunday evening? What do you tend to eat for lunch on a Tuesday? Which nights do you lose slumped in front of the televison? How often do you ferry the kids around? Or do what someone else wants you to do?
What would you say to a friend who presented you with a list of similar routines and rituals? Would your praise her efforts to make her own well-being a priority or would you shake your head and saythis then is the reason why...
Be honest with yourself and take a long hard look at where time is being wasted and opportunities to live well are being lost.

Decide to change. Meditate on the idea of change. List everything you believe yourself capable of changing and all those things you believe you can't.

Decide to change. Meditate on the idea of change. List everything you believe yourself capable of changing and all those things you believe you can't.
Then challenge yourself.
1. Under every change you believe yourself capable of making, set yourself a time limit for making it happen.
2. And under every change you believe necessary but impossible, list all those things standing in your way. Break down the obstacles in to tiny tasks that will bring you closer to making that change and see how even the impossible can become real if we are willing to take baby steps towards it.
And there m'dears: you have a plan of sorts. A list of all the small things you need to make routine and to ritualise if you are to make good on your decision to CHANGE.

What is it that you need to say goodbye to?

Today grab your Life ReVamp journal and make a list of absolutely everything you consider unacceptable in your life. What has had the worst impact on the year gone by? Which friend do you dread seeing? How is your career serving you?
It isn't possible to create a blank slate without rubbing out or painting over that which is holding you back. And the very first block on the pavement to freedom is ACKNOWLEDGEMENT.
So lie very still and listen. Listen to what your soul is trying to tell you. LET yourself acknowledge your own pain. Say I cannot live in this house any more. My job is compromising my future. That room will never feel right while I insist on offering Grandma's dresser pride of place in it. That women on the school playground is a grade A bitch. It is not ME, and it is HIM!
Say it, then write it down. Make it true by putting pen to paper and sending it out in to the universe. Resolve here and now that 2016 is the year you stop tolerating all that is no longer serving you.

What is unacceptable in my life? The piles of crap everywhere, my overflowing wardrobe, that I can't seem to plan meals, spend less time on FB and more times with my kids. That I keep putting on weight so my clothes don't fit. That I find my job boring.
